Rob Matula

MA, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor

It is a sincere pleasure to walk alongside my clients on their journey toward emotional health and wellness. While having gone through twists and turns in my own life, I’ve discovered I have a passion to reach out, validate, and become the support system that makes a difference in other people’s lives.
Today I am committed to serving my clients, believing in their innate capacity to heal from their past wounds, offering a safe affirming environment with an end goal of adding strength and courage for them to tackle and grab a hold of the elusive happiness that has escaped them.
I strongly believe that the relationship between therapist and client is the key healing agent; therefore, I take time in my sessions to create a safe, affirming bond. My goal is to listen keenly, allowing my clients to feel safe to openly express what is authentically going on for them, and, in the process, discover their core issues and start the healing process.

MA, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor

I believe that we were not designed to walk through life alone. Often, we can feel the most alone when we face difficult or painful experiences; this is a vulnerable place to be. When we feel vulnerable it can be even more difficult to reach out and ask for help. I believe that healing can come when we are given a safe space to be truly seen, heard, and validated. Building a strong therapeutic relationship, meeting my clients where they are at, and working collaboratively with them are some of the ways I establish safety and trust.
I believe in the resiliency of a person. I see the courage and strength it takes to be vulnerable and face one’s struggles. It is a privilege to walk with people through their challenges. I work from a holistic and strength-based approach, taking in the whole being of a person. My work is trauma-informed, relationally-centered, and experiential in nature. I use an integrative framework consisting of a variety of interventions and tools so that I can adapt to the unique needs of each client.

MA, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor

Life is full of events that can shake us to our core and cause us to question everything around us - our relationships, our values and our self worth. Nothing is more inspirational then walking along side someone as they begin to examine and work through experiences and events that have left them feeling powerless, overwhelmed and "stuck" in their past. Negative experiences and events rarely heal in isolation which is one of the most powerful aspects of the counselling journey as it is an invitation into the most personal and private areas of a person's life, something that I consider a deep honor and privilege to be a part of.
I have experience working with a wide variety of presenting concerns including, but not limited to, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), domestic violence, childhood abuse, marital and relational conflict, emotional dysregulation, dissociation and numbness, body image concerns and eating disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, identity issues and dissociative disorders, self-harm, grief and loss, and self-esteem.

Bill Holloway

M.A. CPSY, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor

It was William Paul Young who said, “Life takes a bit of time and a lot of relationship.”
Hi, my name is Bill Holloway and there are a few things I know for sure. First is that William Paul Young was right… Life does take time and a lot of relationship! This truth has played a key role in forming who I am today as a person, and as a counselling therapist.
Today, I am all about relationships! For the last thirty years I have been serving folks in various capacities. Initially I began my career working with people in the service industry. I thoroughly enjoyed that work but got to a place where I wanted to have more of an impact on people’s lives. And so, I shifted my focus from mending fenders and painting cars and twenty-two years ago I began working directly with folks to help them create a life worth living, and then encouraged them to live that best life. Over those years I have taught, coached, mentored, and counselled people from all walks of life.
Now, another thing I know for sure, and again a truth that comes from the pen of William Paul Young. He reminded us that, “most of our hurts come through relationships… and so will our healing”.

Emma Wilson

BSW, MSW, RSW, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Registered Social Worker

I hold a passion for helping people navigate challenges in their life, while facilitating empowerment through the process of change. I developed my passion for counselling after working in the field of mental health for over seven years. As I reflected on my own personal challenges coping with anxiety, while working with so many people who had similar experiences, it became apparent that they all shared a commonality; they didn’t feel empowered. Empowered to cope with life, to take control of their thoughts, to end unhealthy habits or relationships, and to change their life and overcome pain from the past. The fact is that emotional pain is inevitable in our life as things change. We experience loss and heartache, and things happen to us that might feel out of our control. Pain is certainly inevitable throughout our life, but suffering is a choice. While suffering may be an unconscious choice, we cannot choose another path that we are not aware of. In my practice, I strive to empower clients to choose growth, to choose healing, and to desire meaningful changes in their life.
I am a registered clinical counsellor with specialized training in the application of cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, and (EMDR) Eye Movement Repossessing Desensitization Therapy for the treatment of trauma. Much of my counselling experience has been provided in the following areas: depression, anxiety, anger, life transitions, grief and loss, body image and self-esteem, substance use, disordered eating and trauma.
